ZINE: pronounced “zeen” as in magazine.

WHO: 
Calling all writers, makers, artists, creators, activists, gamers, thinkers, fanboys and fangirls!

If you are between 10 and 19…Let your voice be heard! 

WHAT
Zine camp is a week long event where you will learn all about creating zines [DIY booklets or magazines] about any topic you’d like! 

  • Brainstorm ideas
  • Create images and text
  • Design layout
  • Produce copies
  • Collaborate with others
  • Give and get encouraging feedback 

At the end of the week, if participants want to share their work, we will be producing copies of them and distributing them to supporting businesses in the area. 

WHEN:
Monday June 27 – Friday July 1, 2022

Schedule for each day
Tween cohort (10-12 years): 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
        Dinner is 6-6:30 with activities and socializing
Teen cohorts (13-15 years; 16-19 years): 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

COST:  $40/public,  $35/NKAC members

We strongly encourage ALL young people to consider participating. Our art center family is inclusive and affirming. Community ground rules will be developed in our cohorts at the start of the week. Providing an emotionally and physically safe but artistically and intellectually challenging environment is our goal.
