Joseph B. Zagst *

Joseph Zagst strives to exhibit reflections of actual scenes most characteristic of God’s creation and nature’s beauty.

A western Pennsylvania native, he moved to Mississippi in 1968. After his children were grown and gone from home, he decided to adopt a hobby and settled on trying his first love “art”. As a semi-retired electronic technician with Bell South, he returned to his home in western Pennsylvania where he is again employed in the communication field and still finds the time-to devote to his artwork and music.

His paintings are scattered across the northern and southern United States and around the world.

A self-taught artist, his strong desire is that people will appreciate his oil-paintings developed in his style and technique. Most of his artwork he finds by chance.and others by direction, ranging from train stations to portraits of children. Joe is constantly ‘pursuing new and different subjects for his art, and for expanding exposure and
recognition.
